My research interests include network salience processing, the neural structures sufficient and necessary for concious perception, and the physical basis of memory. Currently I am investigating the extent of white matter tract damage near the claustrum and its effect on cognition. Outside of work I am interested in exploring nature and other urban environments where I can take pictures of forest critters and collect stones that catch my interest. I also enjoy playing adventure video games, reading mystery scifi novels, and sketching.
